Meet and Greet JR at the 2010 Market America International Convention! Featured

I’m constantly stressing the need to attend events for a number of reasons. For starters, as an entrepreneur, it is important to know what it is that you have available – whether it is new products, a redesigned website, or to see first-hand, new enhancements that will help you to grow your business.

Secondly, events are an important time to network with new prospects and to meet with your team that may be scattered around different parts of the country.  While social networking has helped cut-down on the need to get together and meet face-to-face as much, events are a great time to come back together as a team to discuss all that you’ve accomplished (or are looking to accomplish) during the year.

A third reason why you should attend events is so that you can recharge your batteries. Have you ever tried starting a car or used your cell phone with a weak battery? No matter how much you will for it to start or to let you make a call, it just won’t fly. Sometimes you need to recharge your own batteries too as a means of jump-starting yourself. With a full battery, it can help propel you to reach new goals and re-energize you.

One last reason though why you should attend events is for unique opportunities. It could be the chance to meet a famous celebrity or in this case, a chance to win a meet and greet with me personally.

So to help kick-off the 2010 Market America International Convention, I’m offering one (1) person that chance  to meet with me at the 2010 Market America International Convention.

How to enter:

  1. Click the “like” button on the official Market America Facebook page.

  4. Last, send me an email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and include “meet and greet with JR” in the subject line along with your name.

In exchange for your answers, you will be entered in a giveaway for the chance to win a meet and greet with me at the upcoming 2010 Market America International Convention.

Note: You must have a ticket to the 2010 Market America International Convention to do the meet and greet with me, as it will take place inside the event.

How would you balance and cope with a full time job, family, and business? I have 2 high school and college age children, and an unsupportive husband. A busy work schedule, and my husband's negative attitude really hinders my progress. I started on a 312 fast track and listening to the mp3 tracks help me try to stay focused.

A year ago, I never used email, had no clue about facebook, twitter, or what a url was... I now have 3 email addresses, over 500 facebook friends and with Market Americas help...I designed a very unique website for my self. I could move faster if a "simple" step by step ABC plan was available to new internet/computer "GREEN" newbies like me that took us step by step as to what to do first, second, third, etc... AND How to do it... I am still clueless about widgets and how to post once and put it everywhere and how to find the things you guys find to post on FB etc..
Thanks for the new growing me...

HI JR. This year has been tough for my husband and I due to my health problems. I have three surgeries this year - including a hysterectomy. I am 31 years old with no kids so that option is gone for us.July 7, 2010 was my last surgery to have my remaining ovary removes. dealing with the whole financial aspect or surgery and being forced to return to work before I am ready has made me realize how important Market America is. I want to make my business work for me so I only answer to me and nobody else. I want financial freedom. I just need a little guidance. Our sponsor dropped out not long after we started so we are on our own. A one on one meeting with you would be wonderful to help me get moving forward. Thanks JR!

    Hi JR,

My question is about being a visionary, how you create your visions and stick with it even when others think you may have lost your mind?

Where do you get your inspiration and how do you balance spiritual, physical, family & work?

    All the best,

    Hi Jr~

Do you believe that the most successful Entrepreneurs are born to be or made to be?

    *************************

Well, at this time there are a variety of issues on the table in my personal life - each requiring my unwavering attention. So for sure this is slowing me down in some ways, however, it is helping me adjust and grow in other areas.

I feel like I am doing everything that I can be doing at this time with all that is on my plate. Including learning to love and live my life in happiness. I believe my MA time is just around the corner and that this is unfolding as planned for my life.

What I need? I need to find a way to access quicker the type of individual that I am dealing with and meet them where they meet me and or be willing to walk away quicker.

I am looking for those people who have those special people skills and humanitarian qualities. I would like this UnFranchise Business to build quicker and I wonder sometimes if I am doing all that I can. I believe I am - but then somewhere in the back of my mind, I am sure there is more that I can be doing. I never stop thinking about it and trying different ways of moving ahead while using the Basic Five outlined. Overall, I see progress and it will come, I know it will come. And sometimes, I am scared because I know it's coming.

    Jackie ~

    Hello JR,

My questions would be how do you continue to reinvent ways to stay successful? The next would be when sitting at the table with someone who is evaluating the unfranchise business system. what are the questions you ask them that will let you know if they are right to work with? The last would be which of the following steps do you personally take when someone is ready to regsiter their unfranchise business... do you sell a ticket to the event, register a new unfranchise owner, both, or only one or the other? I feel getting others to duplicate what you are doing can be the most difficult and is slowing me down. The answers to these questions would help tremendously. Thanks JR and looking forward to convention!!

Dear JR, I truly BELIEVE in this company and the fabulous products and services. It took me three years of study, classes, trial and error to learn where my main focus would be. It is with the Transitions and TLS Shape-Up programs. Now I could use guidance to take my BELIEF to the next level, achieve UFO status, stay focused, and not allow negative influences to divert my attention and positive energy toward my goal of financial independence! Thank you for offering this opportunity to one of us!

JR! I am of the belief that when a prospect says "No" to this business opportunity that it really means, "no, for now" I never take people off my names lists. Do you think there is ever a time to STOP approaching old prospects and just move on? OR should I keep them on the list to approach at a later time? Sometimes I feel like I am wasting time or just bothering people. See you in Greensboro!! Kirk

JR, my question(s) would have to do with your philosophy of who you are as a person. You don't "play the game" and try to remake yourself to fit in- you are simply yourself. You are a visionary and a pioneer, you've attracted so many followers, yet you remain "you". I want to know how you stay true to yourself, maintain your focus and especially how you managed to do so when first starting out. I believe understanding this is crucial to BEING/becoming an entrepreneur and not simply acting like one. Thanks!

After growing up watching my parents living pay check to pay check, I have made a vow not to live like that! So, when I saw MA for the first time, I knew I had a way "out." Being only 26 and having lost both parents to cancer within the last 6 years, I feel more than ever, I need to lead and live my parents dreams for them, since they never got to. As an entrepeneur, I continue to struggle with organizing priorities within the business and with family. How do you handle organizing your time to lead & show your team how to lead but also balancing all aspects of life?

    Hi JR,

I would love to ask you about your journey from employee mindset to becoming the network marketing success you were with the other company to how you were able to envision your own tremendous company.

It's easy to say "I want to be or I am an entrepreneur" but the dicipline and training it takes is much different then just that...to break away from the 9-5 habits and the "boob-tube."

My husband and I have been distributors for 4 years now and have a solid plan of 'how to work our business 12 hrs a week' but can't seem to find partners who can think outside of their current situation that we can help grow.

We've never missed an event but the biggest thing that's probably stopping us from growing is being able to say that one thing that gets our partners excited to come to these events too. We need to learn how to be better leaders...

We've both grown so much in the last few years (and my husband shrank 100+ lbs with Transitions) but it still doesn't seem to be enough.

    Thanks!
    Kathy

My main problem with building is leading such an average life going from "Work" to "home" EVERY DAY and gets very boring. Going to trainings is the only other way of meeting new people. I get so fired up listening to my MP3 player listening to you. I think meeting you would be an awesome experience and put a fire under me to know "Everything is possible no matter how average I am.

If I knew what could help me get there faster or what is slowing me down I would be doing it! Finding the right people is obviously a challenge, as well as developing a 'nothing is going to stop me' attitude in all of my business partners! When I saw this business plan I knew that I could make it work....how do I make if work faster?

How do you stay on top of everything with traveling entertaining, Loren, your daughter's your corporate team all entrepreneurs? As a Privately owned Co you continuely reinvest into the Ma business where do you get your ideas? Do you keep your options open & invest in other companies. Will you mentor others allow them to travel with your and your family learning from you. From NY to New Zealand. Will you adopt someone to learn MA? Shadow you?
As an entrepreneur in Ma I need to get actiated have a coach I can work with and trust not rattle a bunch of words at me that doesn't sink in. Be a test for menory health .Someone that actually follows the business plan teaches and tells you of ALL the requirments. If it's not in the manual if deadlines are set and changed how can you be in the game if your not informed of the game plan.
How to contact business, influencal people, non profits, every day Joe or Martha, around the world. People are working really hard find out what team to work on and who my team is.

Hey JR! I first of all want to say that I'm really excited about starting this adventure into creating a better life for me and my team. I want to know what has been your biggest challenge in sharing with people what you truly believe in. I have a passion for what I do, I feel very knowledgeable in makeup artistry and sales. I believe that honesty with your clients makes a huge difference on how well you will exceed in your business and your life. I believe that gaining their trust and loyalty is on top of the list. However sometimes I find it difficult to explain to them why I am so passionate about the product itself. I can't imagine my life without being able to create; therefore I took on this business to be able to do what I love until the day I die. Please help me to understand how I can make my career with Motives and Market America stand out from everything else I have done with my career thus far.

Question # one: What does does the view look like from up there?
What is slowing me down?: You see, I want to make sure that I am climbing the correct mountain and also climbing the right mountain side. What you see might be beautiful to me and undesireanle to others who prefer watching a sunset instead of a sunrise....

    JR,

Even being in the same room with you will be inspiring. I want to understand your ideology of business. You are the only person on the planet who is striving to make 1000 millionaires, rather than yourself becoming a billionaire.

I want want to ask you how you move forward in the face of adversity, how you never quit to achieve your dreams. I used to be a quitter, I quit everything I ever started.

I feel privileged and blessed that I discovered Market America at 18 years old, being in the business for 2 months now, the best decision I will ever make.
If only I could meet the man behind it all, it will make my dreams come true and also the dreams of all the people I'm striving to help.

What’s the best advice you’ve been given?
What’s next for you and Market America
Time is probably the biggest factor for me I run a small business and the hours of the day seem to evaporate and carving out the time for result producing activities is a challenge, but I am making progress I need to stay focused on the prize. Time and Financial Freedom.
I have become a student of the process we need to master to find, motivate and instill belief in future business partners. In the audios you mention an extensive library of information that you have compiled over the years perhaps you could recommend something.
    Thank You for the Opportunity,
    Michael Bucci

I have been an entrepeneur for the last 20 years but discovered that the business I own actually owns me. I am having the time of my life working the plan at MA for the last 8 months.
Everyone tells me I am doing so well but I listen to the stories of the dream team members and feel like I am falling short. I do believe I have the belief and the drive and am working the plan but I seem to be falling short on getting people to come along with me. I know it is a matter of time and continuing to find people. My team has been wonderful with me. I plan to keep going until I reach my goals. I wish I had known about Market America earlier and I am grateful for having it brought into my life.
Somehow the people I approach simply do not see the vision. I keep working it but wish I knew how to get people to see what I see. I would love to speak with you personally to learn what you did to get your through and still get you through the hard times.

    Good Morning, JR,
Thanks so much for this terrific opportunity. I would like to know how you achieve consistency. You mentioned in some of your talks that you do daily activities. I feel that my biggest hindrance is that I'm not doing daily activities, simply weekly activities. The second challenge I have is moving forward with several different business partner prospects at one time. I'm always concerned that I'll be overwhelmed.
    Thanks for your input!

since most of my sales come from presenting motives/skin care parties for MA distributors throughout western new york and canada, i find that i do not get online orders. when the customers order following the parties, they order from the distributor that i helped establish their business. custom orders, of course, are mine, but do not count for this new way that we have to get orders for the cash back program....also, many of my customers and also customers of the salon owners, and other distributors in my organization don't even own computers, or they are 'afraid' to give anyone their credit card info and prefer to pay cash or check and have the product in hand rather than wait for it...so, what to do?? we can't force people to order online. and even though they may utilize our webportals to browse, they just don't 'get it', cash back and all...they would rather pay cash at the regular

tell me what you would like to ask me about being an entrepreneur.

What did you find to be the best action to take for yourself when you felt tired or worn down from not achieving your own personal goals quickly enough. or to your own satisfaction? As a new distributor (4 months) what action woudl you advise me to take when this comes up for me?

What is it that you feel would help you achieve your goals faster or is slowing you down. - I work full time (sell education to nurses!)and really want to do ma full time. there is never enough time in the day or week.. Prioritizing activities for ma would be helpful. Knowing what activities will get me the most for my time would help me to achieve my goals faster.

How do you balance working with your team in different regions of the nation and building those prospects from those regions. I have grew up in Maine for most of my life, then moved to PA. There are a lot of prospects out there, but the distance is still difficult due to being in the business 3 months now. A lot of my questions revolves around working with those prospects from a distance and getting them to a UBP.

Only by answering these questions, from my heart, can make my business keeps growing. I believe that you, Mr. Ridinger, believe the business you built. My questions would be related to what 'qualifying possibilities and using those answers to qualify or disqualify' And how to maximize my time toward qualify. I can probably find these answers in your 10 question of Scottie P. and Kim K. and making the recent purchase of a droid EVO helps incredibly.

Are successful entrepenuers quick thinkers and talkers? Social media's great b/c I can use the backspace but there are still a lot of one on one conversations that happen.

Lots of messages are repeated through PatLive, Blogs, Newsline. I understand the impact of repetition and would like to make it more effective. Time is not mine (yet) and I have to pick and choose results producing activities. Is there some way to let us know what the PatLive message is about (I get them via email and a subject line would be great).

Comments ? Well JR, let me start by saying that I , like so many, think the world of you Loren and the corporate team ! I have met Loren in the concourse many times. It is definitely , and has been a great desire of mine to meet you as well.....and it may be some more jet fuel to get my engines really firing on all 5 cylinders ! brings me to my question: I guess it is obvious, maybe even a dumb question....I don't care but can you help me figure out what I need to do to really get my distributorship going ? I mean I would love some custom direction because , no matter what I am on a journey to he top and will never stop until I get past myself and make it there. Also, advice on how to leverage my "upline" or to be that person I want in my org but still get some guuidance so I know I'm not needlessly repeating mistakes. More details at the meet and greet. Thx...Al Block... ps I been real good....ok I been pretty good....ok...i haven't been real good, but....lol

    Hello Jr;
It is a pleasure to connect with you. In fact, it is a humbling moment.
I am a new distributor of 5 months with NutraMetrix certification under my belt. I am anxiously awaiting the time at international convention to acquire even more passion, belief and knowledge. My goal is to earn a six figure income in 18 months (August 2011). To do this,I need not one but four leaders in each leg. To achieve this goal, I would like your help in helping me to identify the characteristics (besides ready, willing and able) of the go now leader. What I would like to ask you, JR, is What is it like for you to be an entrepreneur?
What is it that you feel would help you achieve your own goals? What are your goals? And, what are the obstacles in your life that are slowing you down?

Winning the opportunity to meet and greet with you would be the best birthday gift! I turn 56 on Thursday, July 29, 2010. I thank God for Market America. It is a wonderful new and exciting chapter in the book of my life!

God Bless you, Loren and Amber! God Bless Market America!

Until convention I'll be listening to the entire team on my audios!

So do think its a good idea to for me to sell my half of the business (Fit Physique - Personal Training Studio) and focus on building my Market America business? I am 53, don't really want to be a personal trainer in my 60's. And I really see the limitations of Time vs. Time leveraging in regards to how much money I can make. I have been a distributor for a year I am an executive director and I have put most all the money I have made from teaching TLS classes and selling products back into travel and training. (plus buying my own products :o)

Thank You so much for creating this company and for your amazing vision. Sincerely, Lynn Stroud Boise, Idaho

I need to the answer to only one question- what time is your prayer time? I fully believe that only the GOD of your Fathers could have given you the insight and wisdom to place this plan in your mind and His favor to create a team that would be as loyal to you and have the creative ability to put together the product lines that we offer!

Please inform me so that I can set my clock to wake up at that time and tap in to that flow! This week's Torah Portion says that He gives us the power to create wealth to establish the covenant (Deu 8:18). You have truly been used to fulfill this plan in the thousands of families that have been impacted by your willingness to freely share what you have been given.

So....what time do I need to wake up?
